Names and Qualifications of Audit Committee Members
Prior to April 2006, the full Board carried out the role of the audit committee. The Board convened as an audit committee twice during the Reporting Period. An audit committee has now been established and its members are Tan Swan Jeng (Chair, Independent), Sam Di Giacomo (Independent) and Dr Nicholas Samaras (Independent).
Mr Tan Swan Jeng was a partner of Coopers & Lybrand, Singapore from 1969 to 1996, and held the position of Senior Partner and Executive Chairman from 1988 to 1996 prior to his retirement. He was also a board member of Coopers & Lybrand, International during that period. Mr Tan served as Chairman of the Accounting Standards Committee of the Institute of Certifi ed Public Accountants for several years.

Given Swan Jeng Tan’s experience and qualifi cations, the Board considers Swan Jeng Tan meets the test of financial literacy, expertise and industry knowledge.
